A Room in Chelsea Square
An early, uncommon paperback edition (1962; it was first published in 1958) of the camp classic by Michael Nelson, who remains anonymous in this edition. Minor creasing to spine, in very good condition. From the back cover: "There is -- it cannot be denied -- a section of society which includes wealthy patrons of young men in various branches of the arts. In this story, Nicholas Milestone, a young reporter on a provincial newspaper, has attracted the notice of Patrick, a man of means and influence. He introduces Nicholas into the world of smart Bohemia in London, a milieu in which Nicholas is not at all at ease. His conscience conflicts with his love of money. He cannot continue to enjoy the luxury to which he has been introduced until he surrenders his will entirely to Patrick's. For the reader his experience will be as enlightening as they were for Nicholas."
